Review:

Kabul Express is a result of the experiences the director, Kabir Khan had while filming a documentary in the war torn regions of Afghanistan. This gives the movie a very realistic edge.

The story of Kabul Express is of two journalists, John Abraham and Arshad Warsi who head to Afghanistan post war hoping to meet the members of Taliban. What ensues is an adventure that brings to light the hold Taliban has on the people of the country.

The film also stars Salman Shahid from Pakistan, Hanif Hum Ghum from Afghanistan and Linda Arsenio from US. The actors belong to the nationalities of the characters they portray in the movie.

In an interview the director of the movie, Kabir Khan recounted the harrowing times they underwent for the shooting of the movie in some remote unsafe regions of the war torn country of Afghanisthan. The entire crew was under constant threat from the Taliban as Taliban did not want the world to know the condition of the country. With the support of the Afghan Government and the entire crew that did not flinch to work under such adverse conditions, Kabir has wrapped up the shooting of the movie.

Kabul Express has been officially selected to be screened at the 31st Toronto International Film Festival being held from September 7 to 16.
