Jai Akash's Unnai Vida Maataen went to floors on Monday at a grand function held in a studio in Chennai.

Rajathy Ammal, wife of Tamilnadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi lit the kuthuvilakku to mark the inauguration of the movie.

Supposedly an action-packed entertainer, the movie features a newcomer opposite Jai Akash.

Besides Unnai Vida Maataen, Jai Akash is busy directing Madhan. He plays the hero in the movie.
